Why did Herman Hesse believe that something soft is stronger than something hard and rigid? If we take a closer look at this sentence, we come to the conclusion that Hesse was alluding to psychological resilience.

Mental resilience is our ability to adapt and deal with difficult situations. The concept of psychological resilience is well known in psychology, but it remains largely untapped for the layperson.

Psychological resilience is a tool that all living beings have, even if their forms differ.

It is a vehicle that enables us to face difficult times and get through them. It is a wonderful invention of nature, thanks to which it does not perish, even if it strains our emotions to the utmost.

It seems like there are people who find it easier than others to get through difficult times. It may take just as much strength, but at least they have a different attitude.

Psychological resilience is part of a complex mechanism in which other factors, such as the attitude we have towards a problem, also play a role. Perhaps because of this, some people seem to approach conflicts and difficult situations differently: with greater ease.

People with great psychological resilience manage to develop the necessary strategies to prevent a problematic situation from occurring again in the future. This also includes self-analysis, because often the trigger of a conflict does not come from outside, but from within.

2. You can control their emotions

People with psychological resilience are able to control their thoughts because all feelings arise there. We think first, then we feel.

People with psychological resilience control their thoughts so as not to be guided by the negative ones that negative feelings can trigger.

We all go through difficult moments in our lives and it is important to keep calm during these. Individuals with psychological resilience are able to stay balanced and calm in chaotic situations and moments of confusion.

One of the key characteristics of people who can easily cope with problems is that they do not allow themselves to be influenced by reproachful thoughts that lead them to wonder why they themselves got into this difficult situation.

If you start to look at things from a different angle , your problems will appear less dramatic and you may even be able to enjoy these challenges.
