Healthy aging is a personal choice

Some age earlier, others later. For many years one would prefer to avoid getting a year older again. You are worried as soon as you discover the first wrinkles and before you know it you have visibly aged. You can’t change getting older, but you can change the way you live it.  You can make a conscious decision in favor of healthy aging.

When you’re young, you think that it doesn’t matter what you look like when you are old or whether you take care of yourself. It is usually only later that you notice that you are completely wrong with this assumption. There is also a widespread belief that in old age you could eat what you want and not have to exercise. After all, you’re old and it’s no longer so important to keep in shape. Whoever is convinced of this, couldn’t be more wrong. Especially in old age you should take care of yourself and your health. As mentioned before, it is up to you to implement the appropriate advice.

Z u think that getting older would be associated only with negative aspects, limits to the extent to experience this phase of life intensely and enjoy. Maybe an illness is really waiting for us or we feel alone when the children leave the house. However, we can also do something to counteract this feeling.

Healthy aging is possible as long as you don’t sink into self-pity. Aging does not mean that life is over, as many young people may think. You can also see it as a new beginning. Many older people dare to study again. They make up about half of all guest auditors and can study without the general university entrance qualification, simply not taking any exams.

Aging healthily is an option that everyone must choose for themselves. However, do not hesitate to start thinking about it now. Even if you still feel good at the moment and have no health problems, the subject of health is something that will be with us in the future.

Both were widowed by now. After they met again, they rediscovered their love for each other and decided to get married. At the time, they were both 81 years old.

As you can see, there are many ways to be active and live healthily even in old age. So you don’t have to be afraid of getting older. Instead, you can enjoy it and design it according to your own needs and wishes.

As you can see, one should already deal with aging today in order to make this phase one of the happiest in life. As you get older, your mobility may be restricted. However, this shouldn’t prevent one from waking up feeling positive every morning and rediscovering the world.
