I Like People Who Leave Marks, Not Scars

I like people who leave marks, not scars

There are people who come into your life and change everything, people who are worth stopping, breathing deeply and enjoying. To enjoy what is really important. Details, little things, things like the water of the sea, the clouds, one of those looks that say everything, eyes like hers, the way she laughs, a deep hug mixed with salt, her hands, waking up next to her …

There are people who are forged from unforgettable iron, people through whom everything suddenly makes sense, everything that was not important before. They are authentic people who divide our lives into a before and an after,  who come into our lives like a refreshing breeze and leave an indelible mark in our memories when they leave.

There is a huge difference between marks and scars

There’s a big difference between leaving marks and scars. Scars are signs of damage, pain, open injuries, feelings that we need to cleanse and treat. Scars are marks that we didn’t want and that will always remind us of a pain that we couldn’t prevent.

Traces are also indelible marks on the skin and in our memory, but through which we remember moments of love, learning and growth.

That is why it  is not the number but the quality of the people who surround us that is important. If someone is systematically harming us, we should consider cleaning up our surroundings, focusing on relationships that are enriching and mutually beneficial.

They are people who hug you and reshape yourself

“The way you give is more important than the way you give.”

Pierre Corneille

It is the small details that give our life meaning, that change everything, that make the everyday what is important. So it is not so important what you give us, but how you give it to us.

They hug you, put your broken pieces back together, teach you how to live, and revitalize your insides. Special people don’t wait for things to happen. They do what they want and they strive for something until they get there.

It’s not about letting them by, but about leaving traces

Every person we meet in our life is unique.
Everyone leaves something behind and takes a piece of us with them.
Many take a lot with them, but there is no one who leaves nothing behind.
This is the proof that two souls do not meet by chance.

Jorge Luis Borges

There are people who leave indelible marks in your heart because there was a time when you went the same way with them. And even if they are no longer there, you will never be able to forget them.

It doesn’t take any effort to leave this mark, it arises without you noticing. It is these people who give you a different picture of the world, who help you to question your past, your present and your future.

There are people who leave their mark, and there are those who shape us for the rest of our lives

“Many believe that a soul mate is someone who is a perfect match for you. Everyone wishes to meet such a person. But a real soulmate is like a mirror, a person who turns your inside out, who turns your gaze inward so that you can change your life. A real soulmate is the most important person you will ever meet in your life because he will tear down all your walls and wake you up in one fell swoop. But spend your whole life with a soul mate? No way! That wouldn’t be a good life. A soul mate comes into your life to remove the veil from your eyes and then runs away again. “

Elizabeth Gilbert

A soul mate is therefore a kind of lifebuoy. It comes by chance, or maybe on purpose, and changes you forever. He opens your eyes and shows you what hurts, what can hurt and what is wonderful.

With them by your side, nothing really hurts. Because people who leave traces do not cause long-term damage, they are not interested in arbitrarily shaping you. And although they will completely change your life and bother you , it is them that you will find if you look up the word happiness in the dictionary.
